1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing https://lotus-electric.pages.dev, requesting an estimate, or engaging Lotus Electric for electrical work, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

2. About Lotus Electric

Lotus Electric is a Minnesota-licensed electrical contractor based in Duluth, MN, providing residential and commercial electrical services. We are licensed by the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry and fully insured. License and insurance information is available upon request.

3. Services

Lotus Electric offers a range of electrical services including but not limited to: panel upgrades, residential wiring, commercial electrical work, EV charger installation, lighting design, generator installation, hot tub wiring, electrical inspections, and emergency repair. All work is performed in accordance with the current National Electrical Code (NEC) and Minnesota state electrical code.

4. Estimates and Pricing

  • All estimates are free and valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Estimates are based on the scope of work understood at the time of quoting. If the scope changes, or if hidden conditions are discovered (e.g., concealed wiring damage, outdated panels, code violations), additional charges may apply with your prior approval.
  • Final pricing is determined by the signed work agreement, not by website content.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of work unless other terms are agreed to in writing.
  • For larger projects, a deposit may be required before work begins.
  • Accepted payment methods will be specified in your work agreement.
  • Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed under Minnesota law.

6. Warranty

Lotus Electric warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from the date of completion unless otherwise stated in writing. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment apply per the manufacturer's terms. This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by power surges, lightning, or utility-side issues.
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or work performed by others.
  • Acts of God, vandalism, or other events outside our control.

7. Permits and Inspections

Where required by the City of Duluth or other authority having jurisdiction, Lotus Electric will pull electrical permits and arrange inspections. Permit fees are passed through at cost unless included in the project quote. The customer is responsible for ensuring proper site access for inspectors.

8. Scheduling and Cancellation

  • Appointments are scheduled in good faith and confirmed by phone or email.
  • Please give at least 24 hours' notice for non-emergency cancellations.
  • Same-day emergency response is available for true electrical emergencies; emergency rates may apply.

9. Safety and Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area.
  • Disclose known electrical issues, prior repairs, or hazardous conditions.
  • Keep children, pets, and bystanders clear of the work area for the duration of the job.
  • Inform us of any pacemakers or medical equipment that may be affected by power interruption.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Minnesota law, Lotus Electric's total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, or data loss. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under Minnesota law.
